Mummy Test

Writing has never come naturally to me. I have never thought myself to be a good writer, whenever I have to write something I have to struggle hard with myself, think harder and then I do get some words out of my mind. Writing has never been easy for me, the free flow of words don’t come out from me. But still i try to be force myself to write something. Sometimes I write my thoughts that are passing through my mind, I read it later and find that it is all crap and delete it. Sometimes when I read what I have written I wonder whether it is me who has written this. Anyways, natural born writer or not, I'll keep writing

Today I am going to write about a test, yes it’s an interesting test called “Mummy Test".  This test is going to be taken by all the would be mummies. If you don't pass the test, you would have to be daddy.lolz ;) Ok I was just kidding. I just read about this test years ago somewhere but then i remembered it few days back. I might have read it on the internet on some teenager site. It is for the time when you were not sure whether a particular deed that you are going to do is right or wrong. So it was suggested that you think that suppose you are doing it and your mummy watches you doing it. What would she think?? Would you be able to face her while doing that deed? If YES, then you can go ahead with that act but if NO then you know that it is wrong to do that particular thing. So this "Mummy Test" is for all the confused teenagers who find it difficult to know the difference between right and wrong.

Enough!!! I would never like to go through this Test. As I said before, it is for all the would be mummies...Lolz ;)

Bloggggggggs

Few days before when I used to blog on blogspot I came across this blog called 'Post Secret’. It is a relatively unknown blog but I found it too interesting. And many people have been visiting there, posting their secrets and knowing about the secrets others are having. You can visit it on PostSecrets.

Whenever I am getting bored, my favorite pastime has become blog reading. I visit the blogspot main page and there are scrolling blogs there. You can click on one of the links scrolling there and have a nice read.

I am going to write about the few blogs that I came across and I loved to read them. There is a blog of so called Google Doctor whose actual name is Dr. Razavi's. She writes about the various diseases which concern people and help them have a healthy living. Her blog can be visited at GoogleDoctor.

This is a blog with the terrorism news. It provides you with the news from around the world without any bias. It shows both the sides of the coin. One of the post titled “How would Jesus treat a 15 year old peace maker?” was particularly interesting to read. It was about a fifteen-year-old girl Ava Lowery who calls herself a peace activist. She made a short animation film on Iraq War and it is pretty touching. The animation movie can be watched at WWJD and the blog  can be read at Terrorism News.

I would write more about the blogs that I read. Keep reading.

Trip to Paonta Sahib

It has been long since I added an entry to my blog. I have been away to Paonta Sahib in Himachal  Pradesh on an Official Trip. We have our client's factory 'Malwa Cotton Spinning Mills' located there. So I was there for about a month or so, away from Delhi, from the crowd and all the population and the pollution.

About Paonta Sahib:

Surrounded by the Sal forest and on the bank of  river Yamuna the historic town of Paonta Sahib(398m) was founded by the tenth Sikh Guru Govind Singh Ji. When only sixteen years old, the guru left Anandpur Sahib and on the invitation of Raja Maidini Prakash of Sirmour, lived at this beautiful place for over four years. The historic gurudwara commemorates his stay and interestingly the waters of the Yamuna fall   silently below this -which happened at the Guru's behest. The word 'Paonta' means 'Space for a foot hold'. The only place that is the main attraction of Paonta Sahib is Gurudwara Paonta Sahib. It’s a small town and can be covered in half an hour.

Living in Paonta gets quite boring at times. You don't have any swanky malls and multiplexes to blow your money out or to just hang out. There is only one decent restaurant 'Mezbaan' where we used to eat out dinner sometimes. Life was quiet a bit boring and slow there. It’s good to go out there for few days and enjoy your holidays but staying there for a longer duration is a big no no.

So I am back in Delhi now. Am going through my 'Professional ASP.NET 2.0' book and also thinking of starting a blog where I can write about the technical stuff like .NET and everything related to computers. Let's see when I am not that Lazy and make my mind and hands move. And I am also seriously thinking of add few things to my website (Although I have been thinking about this for long). My home page looks pretty boring and I am an owner of no content website. I am planning to format my computer install ASP.NET 2.0 in it and then make a new website and fill it with few contents. PLANS, my checklist on my blog... :)

Post Valentine Entry - Stages of Love

This is my last entry this Valentine Season. The other day I was in a mall sitting there with a friend and watching all those lovely couples sitting, talking about love, life and some cuddled up and caressing each other.Oh!! Yes, that was in India, where people say public display of affection is not acceptable.

I can still remember all of them, sitting in front of each other, looking into each others eyes, trying to have a touch of others hand and talking. Second, sitting quietly on the same side of the table looking at the people swarming around them, listening to the sounds and paying less attention to the person who they are with. Third, seemed too much desperate, the guy all over the girl, trying to touch her, leaving little room for her to escape. Anyways, while sitting and staring, thoughts came into my mind and they were about the stages of Love that I am about to write.

Stages of Love ---by Az

1) First Stage: - Boy meets Girl or vice-versa. They attract each other, start conversing, this is just the start of getting acquainted with each other. There is some unknown chemistry between both. The eyes speak. Both of them try to impress each other, do things that pleases the other person. The beautiful period of courtship, where everything about the other person seems so good. A perfect world of DREAMS.

2) Second Stage:-They both get to know each other closely. Exposing themselves emotionally and  get to know about each others life, about their good or bad habits, family, friends and share every bit of their life.Long conversation go on phones and whenever they meet the mouth never stops. They start going out with each other, restaurants, parks, cinema halls. Holding of hand becomes common and a step goes towards kissing and hugging. It all feels good.

3) Third Stage: - The so called love is at peak. They are exploring each other emotionally and physically too. The love element has given way to intimacy. The holding of hand is not enough, now more of the other person is needed. So the hand moves up, goes to the shoulder and then comes to the ******. Love turns into Lust. Forbidden things, are too enticing and adventurous, so they are done. The physical intimacy brings talks about commitment, plans of future but everything seems too fine. There is more action than the feelings.

4) Fourth Stage: - Both have explored each other emotionally and physically. They both know each other, inside out. They know the positives and the negatives of each other. The communication has almost ceased between them so they don’t know what to talk to each other. The company of the lover doesn’t excite them any more. Now they start avoiding each other, Confrontation, arguments, differences surfaces. Other people company is more intresting now.

5) Fifth Stage: - Lack of attention, attraction, communication, love and lust creates a gap between both of them. They start looking for someone who attracts them and finds someone who is more attractive and interesting then the current lover. The dying relation is brought to end by the commitment to the other party. End of Love Story.

These are my thoughts....about the stages of love...people may have their own opinion about Endless love relations. But these are my views and an exception to my views is always possible. TRUE LOVERS anyone?????

Valentine Day Post

After reading the comments “Look Who’s Talking” of Parag on the last post, realization dawned on me (I mean it man ;)) and I took a U-Turn from the ‘Why not to celebrate valentine’.

[Censored Text] So on this valentine day, I went out with my valentine but to keep myself - Anti-Valentine - I did not gift her anything. The only thing that I gave her was a plain card with I LOVE YOU written on it.And then to make it a special one, I wrote ten things I love about her. Here are some excerpts from the contents of the card:

Things I love about you

1)      The kiddish way in which u behave & talk to me sometimes.

2)      Your care and concern towards me.

3)      You, asking me to dance with you without an occasion or irrespective of time.

4)      Your craziness about anything and everything.

5)      Your looks and ways upon which I fall in love day after day, month after month, year after year.

And the good thing was that she loved it and said “This is a precious GIFT”.

I was digging through my stuff, while shifting my room and I found a very old diary of mine where I used to scribble during my school days. I found a lovely poem titled “Xanthic Flower” written by Azamat Ali. He He J

Xanthic Flower

Your lovely eyes and charming face.

That long black hair with a lace.

I know not what charm has your smile

That makes me wonder for a while

The world turns around when you walk.

And stops to listen when you talk.

Straight from my heart I tell you.

You’re my life and I love you.

I wish to walk with hand in hand.

That this love story may never end…..

P.S: This post is dedicated to Mr. Parag “BBC” Bansal, the one and the only regular, forced reader on this blog. He wanted some masala and babes encounter on this blog, so I am trying to give him the same, starting with this post. What say Dude???

Pre Valentine Post

Ok!! Valentine Day is close. When the whole world is having the Images of young lovers holding hands, the exchange of flowers and heart shaped boxes of chocloate candy, laughter, joy, love, love, love. Here's a post that's got to be a little different:

Three Reasons why Valentine Day should not be celebrated:

1) How can people expect someone to go all lovey dovey only on one day? A year got 365 days, you can love your valentine all of these days, why choose one day to show love to him/her?? Take your wife on a dinner today or gift your girl a dozen flowers tomorrow. Does it have to be on Valentines Day only??

2) People who don't have a valentine feel lonely, have so much pressure on themselves to propose on Valentine Day, get married or just feel Worthless!!!

3) People who have the valentine have the pressure to perform. Saint Valentine worked for Hallmark/Archies, so people have to buy chocolates, cards, stuffed animals and flowers for their valentine to show how much they love each other.

CUPID BITES... :)

Website Address: www.myheritage.com

Face recognition technology.. You must have seen this in Hollywood blockbusters. Now this website has a section for face recognition. You can submit your picture and it will scan your face and would search in MyHeritage Celebrity database and find out the celebrity whose face features matches yours and also gives the matching percentage. I thought it to be interesting and ran a search of my photograph. The original picture and the results are as follows:

So all ya gals,I look 62% Eminem and 55% shahrukh khan......ha ha ;). Anyways, what i found out is that it does not matches face features, but the algorith seems like matching face shapes. Go match yours and have some fun.

Police Public

When was the last time you visited a police station. I visited it few days back. One of my friend’s mobile phone was stolen while he was traveling in the bus. In order to get a new post-paid SIM, he was required to file an FIR for the stolen phone and provide the copy to the phone service provider. So I accompanied my friend to the police station and was a mute spectator of the proceedings there. Here’s the first hand account:

So we entered the police station and then asked a person "Hamen FIR Likhwani hai.. stolen phone ki". He redirected us to the person who was writing the FIR. There were two pot-bellied, dark face policemen sitting down , scribbling their daily crime reports in the register. One of them gave us a baleful glare and asked “Why we were there?” We explained him that we need to register a phone theft complaint. He looked at us annoyingly. The conversation went as follows:

Policeman (P): Chori??? Kahan kho gaya phone

Mr. Friend (F): Sir khoya nahin....chori ho gaya bus mae.

P: Tum jaise haatae kattae ladke se chori ho gaya..phone.

F: Haan sir, jeb mae..rakha tha. wahan se nikal liya kisi ne.

P: Ab jeb mae rakhogae.. to chori to hoga hi ( Can anybody guess, where does he wants us to keep our phone ?)

F: Theek hai FIR to nahin hogi, ek complaint likh do plain paper.

He then dictated him the contents of the application in which he stated that our phone got lost while he was traveling in the Bus. He tried to find it but all our efforts were in vain. So he sincerely requests the police to take the required action. After the letter finished, he handed over the letter to the policeman. He shamelessly asked us:

P: Haan bhaiya.. 100 Rs hain affidavit ke.Ya khud banwa ke laoogae (Rishwat mangnae ka tareeka number. 101 )

F: No, Sir Hamarae paas to 100 Rs nahin hai.

He threw the application at us and said "Jao bhaiya yeh kaam nahin ho sakta". This was in the police station, somebody was asking the bribe while in the office, openly, without any shame. The people standing around gestured us not to create an issue and just hand over Rs. 100 to those lecherous, shameless policemen.

The two pauper friends looked into their wallets and added the amount which came around Rs. 40. So we then went back home and got Rs 100 for bribing the policemen. Proudly, we went back and handed over the application, with hundred rupees on top of it. Mr. Khakhi Wardi took the application and ignored the 100 Rs. note as if it was not there on top of the application paper. He dropped the note on the table and placed the application on top of it. Then signed the application, stamped it and somehow in between slipped the note from under the application and placed it in his fat full of bribe pocket.

Behaving as if he had never seen our hundred rupee note, he then handed back the stamped application and we left the police station.

Guess what?? Going by this rate, India is soon going to be a leader of corrupt countries. The government servants are not ready to do anything without getting a part of our hard earned moolah. Those who have the power to control the corruption, they are not acting or maybe they themselves are corrupt. Till the time we the PUBLIC do not force such people to act, we have to Keep Paying ……

P.S:  This entry is dedicated to Mr. Pushpendra “Careless” Raghaw, his lost Nokia phone and Rs. 100 which he gave as a bribe.

New Accomodation/Google Rank

On this 26th of January 2006, I shifted my accomodation to a new one room set. This is how my new room looks like. It is an independent place with a single room, kitchen and a batchroom. And no landlord living anywhere near to bother me about cleanliness, time of coming home, etc. I also have an Airtel internet connection now, so i would be able to update my blog more regularly.

In this new room I have a new buddy, His name is Mr. Happy(with a star). Mr. Happy hangs on one of the walls of my room and is always smiling. I clicked him with my mobile cam and am  posting his picture on the net.

Good News!!! My website http://www.azamatali.com is now listed in Google Search. And amazingly, the rank is Fourth on the Page. Click here to check it out.

Update: My Website ranks first on google now. Try searching "Azamat Ali" Google.

Ashram Chowk

Everyday while commuting from my home to office and back, I have to cross the Ashram Chowk. A swarm of vehicles waits on that road to cross a red light made for the convenience of the pedestrian crossing the road. The two wheelers, small cars, big cars, SUV's, buses every kind is there in the traffic, slowed down to the speed of 10-20Km/hr. A great leveler that ashram chowk is !!

There's an interesting group of snake charmers, who have this special talent of cutting the traffic from left, right and centre. They move their vehicles like a snake and general people usually call them motorcyclists. I wonder how many of them have the life-insurance policies for themselves. (I won't reveal that I sometimes try to be one of them and yes, I do have an insurance policy ;) )

Moving away from our star snake charmers, I would like to say that every morning and evening this traffic jam frustrates me and I always wish that our rulers will work someday to de-congest the chowk and make life a little easier. For starters, remove that red light and make a pedestrian bridge. IS ANYONE LISTENING???

High Court Allows Women to Server Liquor in Bars

Recently a Delhi Highcourt has striked down a 90 year ruling which prohibits women to work in areas such as bartending. The court has done this to provide equal opportunity and to to eradicate watever gender bias still exists in the contries laws. This has been hailed as a move towards socio-economic progress.

Well, if we really wish to give equal opportunities to women, employe more women to higher positions in corporate world and let them take part in active politics.

The only people who hail this ruling as socio-economic progress are the hoteliers who want women bartenders to send their cash register ringing by exploiting their crowd pulling potential

Let's face it - our attitude towards women remain unchanged. Women continue to be seen as sex symbols and instigator of basel passions. In such an atmosphere, getting women to server drinks is sure receipe for trouble. If women are not safe working late at call centers, how can they be safe serving liquor to drunken men till the late hours of the night?

First Post

After having my stint with blogspot.com,I am finally having my own blog at my own domain. Thanks to DasBlog I am able to start my blog in .NET.

I have customized the template 'Portal' by Johnny Hughes and have included some features like my picture , introduction and google adsense to suit my need. And i think the end-result is too good. What do you people say ?
